pointless post but
OMG,my horse was flipping crazy  its winter so ebs needs 15mins of walking to warm her up then 20mins of trot before we canter, today ebs didt want to walk then we starting cantering after about 10mins [not through choice ;)] then there was a pole when you changed diageal and we had to jump that then gallop off afterwards, so we went over a few x poles
and she was galloping around ears forward like go go go :p:rolleyes:
so erm shes getting clipped saturday!!! so if i dont post... ;)
and then im going to do some schooling over small jumps to see if i can slow her down
ps. she was in the dutch gag today and my arms still hurt :o
so i dont really understand what sent her crazy but i had a good laugh ;)

Maybe its because she wasn't/isn't used to the new bit?
I'm not an expert but just a thought.

She sounds like a very lovely horse, with quite a few personality changes :p

no its not new, its what she jumps in :p shes had in in for years til she came to me who put her in a snaffle and tried to work with her in that..... :o

thanks, i was like 'WOAH' and she had been out in the field to gallop and let engry go but she kept it for me ;)

I share your pain!

Tonight, my lovely, sane 4 year old did a series of impressive acrobatic movements (would have been seriously impressive except for the fact that I was riding him) and whinnied the entire time

I think its the sudden drop in temperature; making them feel all on their toes for a bit :)

Well ebs isint sane [i wish] :o.... shes a crazy one but that was just left me speechless ;)
Hmm that could be it, i hope she calms down a bit, i like fizzy horses but err :p

She's a mare - mine still has her loopy days at 34! I still wouldn't put a novice on her. :) But it has been mighty cold today, so maybe that's why Eb's was a little mad?

but shes arthiric so thought she might be a bit more stiff but no, she seems to VERY happy to be out :p
ha everyone scared of ebs on a good day :o
all the other kids swap horsess but i cant cause no one will get on my horse ;)

Tell me about it. Today my girl, 24 and usually quite stiff, decided to give an impressive buck in the middle of our lesson for no apparent reason.

I must say, it was quite nice to know she can still have a buck! (Although if I'd come off I no doubt would've felt differently!)

Can't be as insane at Dante - who is not content with just galloping around the perimeter of the arena, but will take you towards the fence (3ft, 4ft, 4'6 wide hedge, 5 bar gate...) with his mind 75% convinced that yes, he will jump it. Thankfully, he will either slam the brakes on or turn! Or at least, has done so far....
Although today he was content to just buck a lot, with only the mild threat of exiting the arena, at high speed with a flying leap... in his dressage saddle *sigh* The sliding stops are one thing, but XC is NOT on! :p

I think I might buy him a quarter sheet this weekend :D

Sounds a very keen one :p
Bless him , thats one thing im greatful for she wont buck leap or rear :o
sounds like we all need some sticky bum jods,
i might get ebs one... but should i go for the waterprooth one or the cotten one? x

He's not usually too bad, he doesn't really 'buck' more just kicks out bizarrely to the side O.o He very rarely bucks properly! (phew!)

I'm going for a wool one - I think the heavier material (that doesn't rustle!) is going to be the safest and warmest bet for Dan :)
