Well I did. As planned I arrived early enough to be right at the front of the car park as I don't think my car would do well on muddy grass.
I bought nearly all that I wanted - a warm riding coat, a gilet, socks, leather cleaner, high viz gloves, add in a couple of coffees and a potato and spent just over £200 not including entrance.

There were some apparently good bargains for things if you really needed them - Ariat boots for £100, etc.

I didn't get a high viz riding coat in the end, although I looked, nor are my gloves waterproof which is what I really wanted.

I watched two interesting talks - the first about the use of boots for horses - and a new on-line club for children called "Think Like a Pony"

Take away the riding clothes and what have you got? Not an awful lot. I didn't watch any of the main arena shows and there were so many trade stands that I remember and used to buy from in the past that were no longer there.

I got mostly what I was setting out to get but I won't be in a hurry to go back.

🙋🏼‍♀️ Got a present for my SS that I wouldn't have got elsewhere and some tape worm tests. And changed my horses insurance saving me £60 a month so that was nice. Were a few big names missing and seemed smaller than some years but was nice to be back in the cattle sheds again rather that the weird arrangement they had to do last year.

TLAP - Shall we say their standards are iffy? We went to visit on one of their open days. If you aren't horsey then yes it probably looks OK but if you are then nope. Kids in the arena without hats or gloves on, messing about with ponies at the end long ropes. Then they were giving pony rides to non riders eeekkk those poor ponies backs.

If it was my riding school it would be gold standard for safety especially in view of what they are trying to achieve.

I went Friday & Saturday, had a great time! Went to the stands I wanted to & bought the few things I had on a list. Watched the 3 masterclasses on Friday afternoon & then all the demos Saturday morning. Laura Colletts masterclass was the stand out for me. Very much enjoyed it & will go again!

I went for the first time on the Friday. I really wasn't too sure what to expect. I've learned that it's blooming freezing so you need to wrap up v warm. It's very much a shopping event but it's mostly old stock. The massive LM stand was very much a jumble sale. Some good bargains though. I hoped to see the new Amour but it was no where to be seen. I paid for standard plus tickets and I've no idea what that got me as it wasn't allocated seating - everyone sat wherever. The demonstrations were disappointing. Willa Newton was supposed to be starting new horses which is v relevant to me, but it was 8 yr olds cantering round over poles. So I left. Came back for Richard Davidson who was fairly interesting. That was all I saw. Oh, also I didnt realise parking was in a field a bus ride away, so I really should have got there earlier. So I did enjoy it (I think) but not sure I'd rush back best year.

After being stuck in the mud last time I went , I thought I would get top price tickets to park on hard ground near the entrance. Got 30 min from home, phone call mum had a fall. Turned round went home , ah well. Only wasted the ticket price didn’t get to spend any money

Underwhelmed. It used to be great with so many fantastic demos, but this year just seemed a commercial salesfest of riding tights and numnahs.
So I won't be going again  .

I went with three friends - hadn't been for years and yes it was a lot smaller, but we had fun. It was just an excuse for us to have a good catch up and look around for some prezzies.
I got a half price fly rug for next year, a half price cutting knife as part of OH's Xmas pres and two sets of clothing for the little ones I've got to buy for.
So, all in all we enjoyed it, but it's nowhere near the show it was in the early 00's

i went for the first time and i absolutely will be back!🤣 i bought a mochara jumper, an aztec diamond one and an olvossa one, plus some blackfort riding tights and joggers, and a fleece gilet. 2x saddlepads and a pair of ears, a mesh cooler, some silvermoor swingers and treatsies, and a stable toy! everything was a really good deal, but i sadly didn’t find a black gilet i liked! i’m after a nice warm one with a hood, ideally fluffy, but i can’t justify the price tag for the holland cooper one i want😂

i also got the worlds most expensive strawberries and chocolate - £4.50 for 3 strawberries!!!! THREE!!
