and then later we are going to watch the balloons go up at the Bristol balloon fiesta, hope everyone enjoys the sunny weather......xxx

I’m going out for a hack on Badger the Fjord with _Gina_ (on here) with Prince. We are trying a new hack that Prince hasn’t been on before and I think Badger has only done once, I think. Sun is just starting to come out. Lovely!

Taking my youngest to his first ever show

He's doing lead rein gymkhana on the mule he's been learning to ride on. I am so nervous and there's him playing on his dads pc with not a care in the world

His class starts about 1 and as I'm on the end of the lead rein I'm expecting to be suffering from exhaustion by 1.05

Well, today I am moving house.

It's going to be a frightful waste of this lovely day but must be done, the worst thing is, the little car I have got my hands on, has two faults, one being..

The heater is stuck on...

I am

a) recovering from the last two nights
crazy.gif

b) Trundling up to Broomes for lunch and ice-cream and to watch a bit of the jumping

Have a good day everyone

I am counting the minutes until Tuesday when my Mum goes home

I am ashamed of myself for disliking her as much as I do, but I can't help it

On a brighter note, I shall walk down to the xc field and look at my new water jump (well, it's a rather large hole in the ground atm, dug yesterday, but I have a great imagination!), and then I have to help clean the mud off the digger before it goes back tomorrow

I shall be thinking of you Mrs M

Hi Mrs M love your Thingummy Jigs in your post.

Horse is out munching and my OH has gone sailing (yes I live with a boaty man).

I am washing the skunk smelling mucking out clothes and me and Tiggy are working in my studio painting a tabby cat in acrylics.

The door to the studio is open and so I get distracted by butterflies and bees. I shouldnt be on here really but I was emailing my sister in france with a parent update.

And yes your Eagle eyes may have spotted a heap of newly washed brushing boots. I am sorting out while himself is sailing and will probably Ebay the ones that dont fit Drifty Boy.

Editted note the piccys are specially for Mrs M.

good luck with dizzy mrsmozart, i hope it goes well for you both x

today so far i am mainly lounging around in my pants messing on h&h and applying for a new job

later i plan to get dressed and go down to the field to give my boy his meds and glower at the other horses who arent ill (the dog is staring at me and sighing already, given her own way she'd be with the horses 24/7)

then im going over to my neighbours to confirm i can use his yard on monday for xrays/poss. hospital box (i have no stables yet at my field, all live out)

Rowreach, i know what you mean though, my mum always depresses me when she visits, she's like a dementor out of harry potter...my old boy is ill and when mum visited last week she was making thoughtless comments on how thin he is, which set me off crying.
actually he's not that bad, he was fit and lean before he started antibiotics and he's got faceache, so he's lost a bit, hes a bit ribbier than id like but not as bad as she was making out.

my little cousins have invaded our house for the weekend (im not a kiddy person lol) so....we're off to Wimpole Home Farm to go see pigs and sheep and cows and goats and all sorts of other farm animals. feed the animals and groom the donkeys maybe and my favourite part
tongue.gif
......go on the cart pulled by Shires/Clydesdales (im not sure which they are i havent been for a long time. but ill take some piccys for you lot)

excited like a child

Ive been for a lovely hack this morning which was about an hour and a half, I then helped my friend bath her horse in the sunshine while we had a catch up. Was out at the farm for 4 hrs in total and the OH was not impressed at all! Im just about to take my 2 gorgeous pups out for walkies then a shower before I go to a bbq and see my cheeky little god-daughter! Quite a good day considering I woke up this morning with nothing planned.

I had a nice lie-in, got up and went to move my horse to her new yard (rode her over, only took about an hour), spent a long time deliberating over how to fit my feed bins into the tiny feed room, etc!
I am determined not to do anything useful today - it's my last day of holiday and I am NOT going to do anything!!

Ted and I are having a mini holiday. have taken him to a different livery yard (only about 5 miles further away for the weekend) We hacked out for 3 hours in the woods yesterday and about 2.5 hours today between the corn fields, and tomorrow we hack home. It's been great fun and he's been a very good boy except this morning when he tried to climb in the barrow to get out of the stable because he's used to being turned out more!

Can I do retrospective Sunday thingy?

Lovely lovely day...was out riding by 6.45 am, two hour hack on the spooky arab, no traffic on the lanes, spectacular gallop up an overgrown bridleway, huge fun. Back to the yard, got the 2 yr old Exmoor out for a bit of groundwork and foot handling. Home for brunch cooked by a very hungover hub. Took the dogs for a run, went home and had a zizz, horses sorted for this evening, now awaiting lucious take away curry. It's all horses and food in our house....
