So whose horses are rugged up tonight???

mine's in a fleece tonight, was a bit nippy when leaving the yard, plus has been getting rather cold at night. My boy feels the cold and his stable's a tad drafty! He'll be unclipped this year.

Mine is out naked.

For those who are putting MWs on their horses tonight, out of interest....what will you rug them in come snow etc?

Not criticising, just curious as I'm alien to rugging mine in anything more than a MW in the dark depths of winter :)

The pony has been clipped out today so she is rugged. My mare was starting to feel it a bit at night so has a lightweight on. Baby horse is getting fluffy - therefore nekked!

I'm never sure what the fuss about rugs is - check your horse, if it needs a rug, put one on. If it doesn't, leave it without. Simples ;) :D

Its far too early in the year to rug up any of mine, they have all got some of their winter coat through already so they are all happy. I like mine to get a proper winter coat before rugging them up as it means they only really need lightweights or medium weight rugs on during bad weather.
My competition mare is rugged up and she is living in, its only a lightweight and on to keep her clean. Saves on grooming time! :D
