What supplement do you feed your moody mares? She's not more moody around her seasons, its more a general state of being!

Second question, what do you feed your horses prone to stomach ulcers? Can't afford keeping her on the gastrogard!!!!!

We used used NAF Oeststress (sp?) on the coloured mare we had recently. When she came she was on it and we thought it wasnt doing anything so took her off it and she changed within a week. She was stroppy, moody and generally difficult. Within a week of her being back on it she was back to normal. So for her a would say that definatly worked.

Agnus castus can really help. But get the vet to check her out, she may have issues in her ovaries and be tender

I use Linseed meal - it provides mucilage and is £25 for 20Kg (Charnwood) - about a tea cup a feed and it seems to settle delicate tums. Also think about yea-sac.

Also chamomile may help. I buy it by the Kg from Cotswold Herbs
