Soaked Oats and Bran...

Have been feeding the soaked oats diet for a while now, and OMG it's good!!!!!

Anyway, they were only geting one feed a day, of the oats and alfa.
Now they are moving onto two feeds a day, mum wants the morning one to be with bran.. not a proper bran mash, but just wet bran, with a few soaked oats.. now i know the origonal (sp?) 'diet plan' said to feed a bran mash once a week..
But any opinions on feeding a little bit every day????

I doubt very much whether a little every day would hurt as long as you fed sufficient alfa to balance the diet....bran is very phosphorous rich and calcium deficient (think it's a ratio of 013:1.13 or something like that so quite a difference.)

Do not see any harm in that!

Bran doesn't really do horses any good. Over time can affect calcium asorbtion. Save your money and don't bother.
