I feed my horse Copra and speedibeet added to which he has various supplements. I mix them all up and soak with boiling water then feed when it's cooled down a bit.

However it would be much more helpful if I could say soak it at 6.30 am to feed when I get back from riding at 7.45 a.m. Does the soaking have any effect on supplements such as pro hoof or forage plus winter balancer? I never have soaked them for long but not sure why!!! Would the supplements taint the food making it inpalatable or would everything still taste the same?!!

I don't use hot water but I make up two feeds per day and the supplements are added and left for the yo to feed one in the morning or night and I leave either the breakfast or dinner in the stable for my horse

Haven't came across anything to say they are degraded by soaking. Hot water perhaps but just the liquid from the soaked feeds I'm not too sure, I don't like feeding cubes or Pellets due to choke worries so I soak everything regardless.
