Beau has a wart/sacrcoid thing on his chest (had vet out last week, isnt sure if sarcoid or wart, said leave it alone).
anyway went up yard lastnight, OH brought him in and his sarcoid thing had been literally ripped open.

I think he must have been playing or fighting because it was a right mess, literally gouged, quite bloody, which had dried, half of it is hanging off, and looks a mess.

He was trying to eat the vet when he looked at it last week, but was a very good boy lastnight while I cleaned it, however I dont know what to do with it now, it cant heal like that it will look a mess, so I think im going to get the vet out today.

Also, some of you may have noticed in OH's cantering vid the other day, I have removed Beau's flash now. he was head tossing a bit and I wanted to see if it was just babyishness etc.
Anyway he was much better without the flash, no head tossing, BUT, he was sometimes putting his head at an odd angle if we did anything faster than walk, like this:

So I thought, is he just playing with the bit, getting used to having no flash, but I dont think so. So now Im thinking teeth and maybe his head tossing was trying to tell me something, he is so genuine he would never kick up a fuss.

But because he is putting his head at that angle at times, it also makes his gaits look funny, so then I think lame, or back!

So needless to say I think I will be calling the vet out today, poor boy.

Oh and to top it off, other horse has a huge crack down the entire inside of his hoof I discovered yesterday.

Hope they all get right soon.

Ty is a wiggly worm still in the school - sounds like he's evading moving forward?

Hmm, No you see this is the thing he is very forward going, he is always very responsive, he never tries to evade the contact or anything, he just seems a bit uncomfortable. He is still giving 100%

Of course it could just be him getting used to not having a flash on, Im going to ride him today and see if it happens again.

Poor babies!

Hello
Asked before I think but then forgot what post it was on - your big bay is the spitting image of my OH's horse - is he ISH? They could be twins honestly!
Hope they are all ok though.

Oh, I would say it more thatn likely is his teeth that are the problem!! His 'symptoms' sounf the same as my horse had.
My Beau had that last year - he got so bad he was unridable, even without the flash. They got his teeth done and he was a different horse.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well His previous owner had never had his teeth done I dont think, just checked over.

They are now being done on Friday.
