Hi all,

This is my first post (hopefully of many) so please be gentle!

Over the past year I have been a sharer and have gotten to be really good friends with the owner. With her birthday coming up I have been thinking about a good useful horsey present to get her - not easy cos she hoards tack, rugs, grooming supplies etc!

Have now thought of membership for either BHS or WHW as I know she isn't a member of either and I though that with the top level of each she would get the benefits of public liability insurance etc and maybe save herself some money when her current insurance renewal is due.

Just wondering which of these 2 people here have experience of and would recommend? Also I can't seem to find any info on buying these as a gift for someone else. Does anyone know if it is actually possible or if I would have to have all her details and apply as her?

Oreo cookies and chocolate milkshake for reading:)

Bhs membership would be the one i would appreciate, and such a nice gift!! What a fab sharer you must be! I would ring the bhs, they've always been super helpful whenever I've had to call them, and ask them about buying membership as a gift, as I'm not sure about that.

I'm sure whatever you decide, your friend will appreciate the gesture!

Thank you!

I think BHS was the one I was veering towards simply because I knew about it before where as I didn't realise that the WHW membership had similar benefits until I started looking into it.

What a great idea!!! Hope you don't mind but I am going to nick your idea and get my friends riding club memberships for birthdays now too!
