As above really - not surprised but have not been xc schooling yet and really need to do some. AGGHHHH feel very unprepared! For me its water jumps I need to go over with my horse so might have to take a trip to the beach this weekend.

Tell me about it!!!

Had Stratford Hills booked for Friday to school b4 Poplar next week and it is closed!

So have booked MKEC for Weds, so fingers crossed that doesnt close!

I really feel for you guys doing Bath & West.. Couple of people I know are taking youngsters who haven't even XC schooled yet!!
It's not beyaond the realms of possibility that it will also be cancelled mind you.
At least it is just a trot in to water at B&W, Aldon might be a bit more problematic.

I know!! I am taking a 4yr old and a horse who is a SJer and has never seen a proper solid fence before to Poplar on the 10th!!! So need to get them out.

Oh well hopefully will get to MK on weds! WIll post piccies!

Umm Aldon is the one I was thinking about more actually - think there is a long route if comes to the worst. I mkae him walk through every puddle, deep bit of water in fields going! Just needs some steps or a log into one of these furrows! I am not too worried about Bath and West and now have been doing loads of BSJA I am more chilled about SJ!

Do feel for you guys. Last year we were doing battle with frosty hard ground, this year we're back to armbands and wellies ARGHH!

I cancelled going on saturday as didnt think it fair to try and teach a warmblood

xc in sloshy water, not at his first attempt!
Its okay when Im jumping at home in puddles in my arena but not paying out £20 to ride around a swamp.

Lec Rodders will be fine, hes been hunting all season and will fine it a piece of cake. With all this wet weather/ground its like riding in a water fences as it is lol Aldon water is pretty kind, just kick on hun.

Holly, be warned its very wet there, and we are in for gales and heavy rain from tomorrow for the rest of the week.

Dont blame you for no taking Snoops, quite agree, was rather suprised after seeing Tigers-eye pics that the course was even open. Hope it drys up before HHO planned trip or will be leaving my boys at home!

Indeed Mrs T!
Its such a shame, arghh think it was back in 2002 when the weather was rubbish most of the year!
I think i got wet at most events i entered!! makes a change of being boiling hot in 30c i guess

Yes I can see from Vics pics it is wet there, but I have no choice!! Need to get them over some fences, just need to pop a few - the driest ones!! (which is prob the intermediate ones!!) And practice the water, ditches and the steps. And that will do me! Will be taping my boots on and over reach boots!!

There are one or two of the newer fences with allweather take off and landings there. Not like Aston tho, that would be better to go there but i havent heard that its open
frown.gif
tried speaking to Ann but have heard nothing back yet arghh

that should be fine then. Will just have to use what I can!!

Steps look fine, and a few ditches and the water obviously!!

Then anything else is a bonus! Better then nothing before my 1st event!!
