I plan to do both of these - just wanted a bit of advice from any pros out there on which ones ballot the most!!

So which one to use my April sticker for!

I love both these events 2 of my favourites!!!

Is S of E PN nice? I have done the intermediate but never the PN there, and wondered if it would be good to do as a horses first PN.
Never thought they balloted at S of E, but could be very wrong!

I am doing it on my 5yr old as her 1st PN

It is a lovely course which is quite small and not very technical. The only large fence is a hay wagon thingy, at the end of the course before the water

What is the SOE PN like as a course? Just starting BE this year but my horse is pretty experienced. I was hoping to do the Munstead Intro as a first event for the year but entries now closed! Did do a schooling session there and thought the Intro looked quite straight forward, I think we did a few of the PN fences too. Is SOE fairly straight forward as far as PN's go?

Yes it is - but I think Munstead is smaller. Munstead is a very inviting course. But SOE is one of the most straigh forward PN's

I did it in the autumn and i thought it had been made quite a lot bigger than it has been in previous years. It is still relatively straightforward just rode quite a lot bigger.

Nurstead is quite a big technical pn. It rides very upright which can be hard if riding an ill balanced or strong horse as it is quite hilly - so requires quite a bit of setting up.

SOE ballots more than Nurstead.

Nurstead is quite a new event and only runs at pn and novice over 2 days. SOE is well established and runs classes from pn to AI over 2 days and therefore has alot more to cram in over a short period!
