Hi has anyone had any experience with this breed? My husband and I are moving to house in a month and are planning on getting a dog in January. We need something that is friendly and good with children (in case we plan children in the near future!

). I have always had terriers growing up (two Cairns and a West highland) so am experienced with the cheeky nature of terriers.

We had one when I was a child. They are significantly bigger than Cairns and Westies! The coats take quite a lot of maintenance (with a long coat they look like small Old English sheepdogs) but they can be clipped. The one we had was gorgeous, although like any terrier they can be quite a challenge to train... Personally I think they are gorgeous, and I have a feeling they don't moult much.

Thanks, our past terriers have always been a bit of a challenge to train but I like their nature...naughty and cheeky! I know they are bigger than westies and Cairns as been doing lots of research but that doesn't bother us as we wil have a nice sized garden etc. The main criteria we need to fill is tht they are friendly and versatile. The non-moulting aspect is very appealing too. I think they are gorgeous too, stunning dogs. Look like big teddies!

i'm 15 and she is really good around children, loves us to bits and all of our other mates and younger children! she doesn't molt at all which is a great help and we clip her ourselves. (we've only done it once though). the one thing she loves to do the most is lie on her back with a huge grin on her face, bless her

. we got her when she was 3 and she wasn't that well trained but we trained her a bit and she now comes to heel and doesn't really need a lead! thats all i can think of atm but anything u want to ask i'll try and help

I can't ever recall meeting an unpleasant one at shows etc. & don't think I have ever heard a bad word said about them re. temperaments, unlike many other breeds, who so often in real life, sadly fail to match up to their standard's description of their character!

I like them all 'fluffy' best - au naturale! If you haven't seen one in real life, the piccies don't really do them justice, as their colour (on a good one anyway!) is lovely! lol

!! the only thing about Honey when we got her was he was sold because she didn' get on with this other dog that belonged to her old owners thats why they were selling her so when we first got her and we came across another dog she was a bit snappy but now she's settled in well so that problem is sorted! i don't think there usually like that though
