soft frogs

Has s/he got thrush? How soft? Frogs should be quite rubbery anyway. Are they shod?

My geldings frogs often slough off and we have to trim lumps and shreds. The more he works on hard surfaces the better his frogs are as it stimulates the blood flow (he is unshod).

Quite normal at this time of the year -= my guy sheds his twice a year and he always has good frog under the old spongy messy stuff.

Give them a spray with Apple Cider Vinegar if you are concerned - but there's probably no need to be

yes she is shod, lately she has had to stay in the stable alot because of bad weather and i haven't ridden her for a while. I pick her feet out daily and if she has been in any mud i wash her feet and grease them. her stable i clean twice a day and every time i go and see a manure i take it out.
the back feet are fine . but on the front the frogs are really quite small and softish, they dont have a foul smell though. but i can see they are not healthy like the back. maybe there is something i can use to pack them? i have sprayed vinegar on them and use tar I dont know what else to do.
