solar battery charger for horsebox

Just seen this on offer and wondered if it would be o.k to keep batteries topped up???

I bought a solar battery charger for my horse box earlier this year. Now my box is one that isnt used for showing, i just have it 'incase' i need it. Hence it is often left for months on end without me even turning it over - naughty i know but i always 'forget' or 'dont have time'.

from this seller. (they have some BIN at 12.99 inc postage) I am OVER THE MOON with it! It has never not started!!! i leave it plugged in all of the time and its not even parked in a really sunny place. mine is a 3.5 tonne box btw.
i'd definatley say they are worth giving a try!

Would these solar chargers work for the bigger batteries on a 7.5t lorry as well?

I use a similar solar pannel on my 7.5 tonner ,and it works extremely well.

Do you have 12V or 24V on your lorry? Just been told mine is on 24V - so the ones on these links wouldn't be any good.

you would need two and someone with a little electrical know how to wire them up and it might be better to get the bigger 12 watt ones ....

look at the batteries if you follow the wires on a 24v one battery will be conected to the other with a short link + to - if its a two battery 12v system there is a link + to + and - to - the other thing if your not sure look at one of the bulbs, it should have the voltage marked on it hope that helps....
