As title, can anybody recommend one? Don't really want to spend more than £30 so just trying to decide if I should bother or not. Not sure I will get anything worth while on that budget. It wouldn't need to run for very long, just enough to light the way to the feed room when it's dark.

Have seen one on eBay for £29.99, it looks fairly substantial and is LED so in theory shouldn't require much energy to power it....well that's my thinking anyway!

ours are good but were quite alot more than that I think about £80-120 ish but they are our only lighting so worth it

We had one a few years back. It worked fine....... the solar panel "bit" was right in the eye of the sun, so it worked OK; then it faded on us.

Getting replacement batteries was a headache; couldn't find anywhere here in the Wild West that sold them - in any case it was probably cheaper to replace the whole light.

In the end we put in an electric security light; much more reliable.

Think they've got a long way to go yet with the solar technology TBH, we had a similar light for the tackroom and it didn't last two minutes. Disappointing.

I bought one from Amazon a couple of years ago. Cost £25. We've put it up on the field shelter so it illuminates the area in front for rug changing etc in Winter. It works really well and I'm thinking of getting another one for inside the shelter and another one for next to the water trough for ice breaking duties!

Thanks for the replies. I'm still not convinced by solar power! But have decided I'm going to buy the £30 off eBay as long as I can return it if it's not bright enough. I'll let you know how I get on!
