Solarium advice please

Hi

Has anyone got a Silver Shadow horse solarium and if so are you pleased with it ?
They currently have a 12 lamp on special offer which seems good value & you can plug it in to an electrical socket rather than have it wired in.

It is the sort with infra red lamps on a frame rather than the sort that are built into a frame. I wondered if this makes any difference

Thanks for any advice - much appreciated. I don't have a massive budget & this sort means that I could have one this winter rather than wait.

I have fitted a couple of infra red patio heaters inside the grooming stable. Cheap as chips, warm and waterproof as they can be fitted outside.

I think mine were £45 the pair. Wires run round the eves and into a plug socket, so when I am not there and they are not in use they are not even connected to the electric supply.

Thank you & do you find that they work well ? Please can I ask what height you placed them ?

Mine are on half way up the eaves, just in case I ever convert the grooming parlour back to a stable, so a horse could not reach. So far I have really only commonly used one or the other as with both on it is warm enough to get them steaming. Yes, you can really feel the heat.

Mine were on offer, I think £24 each. For that price you could put 4 up, use whichever or however many you think.
