As above horse out trial loan and were very happy with her and wanted to buy, waiting on some funds coming in and should be payment very soon, lovely people, own place, have looked after her well so waited.
Now three weeks later and funds fell through and trying to find monies to still buy her and if they cant there is a friend who is very interested in her but can only pay by installments, I said no to this and as I can see how well horse is I have given them two more weeks to come up with monies or return her ( contract ) all happy with this and my fingers are crossed.
If I do get her back how do I advertise her as there was a thread on here about what you don't like to read in an advert..so time wasting is out for a start as that as was mentioned can make viewers think they have to buy..and one thing I know 100% and more..she will never be put on trial loan again, for sale only.

Trouble is noone is readily going to admit to being a timewaster so it may not matter whether you do put it not. Genuine buyers won't be put off anyway.

The thread on what puts people off; take it with a pinch of salt as many comments seen on ads people will not be bothered by it if the horse otherwise sounds good. Just make it factual, and inviting for people to call.

I've seen some ads saying 'will not consider loan so don't bother asking.' To me this sounds aggressive so I wouldn't even put it, wait until someone rings and should they ask you can then say politely no and explain your reasoning. :)

Ive had similar problems with letting a horse go on a trial.

Ive made the decision NO MORE TRIALS

If someone likes my horse they can come and ride it as many times as they like, take it places and generally get to know it.

M first feelings were a trial would be good to insure horse and human where well suited.

But now i feel some people are not fully committed to the horse when having a trial, one tiny problems and they think "oh i can send it back"

If they had bought the horse they would work through the problem.

Definately don't accept payments in instalments, if they want to do that let them negociate a bank loan or similar, pay you the money & then do instalments with the lender.

I wouldn't allow a loan period either but allow them to come & ride several times to make up their mind about the horse. So much can go wrong while out on loan & you can lose control of the situation.

As for your advert, just be honest in it & then anyone who comes to view will not be disappointed as they will know exactly what type of horse they are coming to see & what its capable of doing. Too many omit or lie about the horse & they are nothing like the horse advertised so everyones time is wasted.

In adverts words cost money, so don't pad it out with things that mean nothing....
'Fist to see will buy'
'A real sweety'
'Never bronks bucks or rears'...if it doesn't do it then why bother wasting words on it.
Put spell check on any advert & don't use text speak as this annoys & also puts people off.

Was going to mention everything she doesn't do..as said why bother..will ask on phone no doubt, she has been on market since march and this was her second trial loan, first one the girl said cant buy as moving house then when I seen the state my horse was in I was very reluctant to do again ( would never sell to first ) I thought it cant go wrong twice.

So if advertised again, people will wonder whats going on, its the title of advert I want people to think.."great she is for sale again" not " whats wrong with her " I am hoping that I don't have to do this however want to be prepared just in case.
