Hi, I’m lucky enough to be having a 3.5t horsebox built to my own spec. I am looking for ideas on solid paint colour choices (not metallic) that will look smart with black windows and black Luton pod. It’s a minefield! Want to consider a colour that will add to resale value and not only appeal to certain buyers.
thank you

When I chose the colour for mine i quickly decided I wanted something pale for light reflection (+ with a white roof, but most do that anyway) and interesting enough that it's fully "mine" but also attractive to a buyer in the future ... I checked out every car in every supermarket until I finally found the right colour that made me happy. I love it on my horsebox!

The advice I was given when I was in the same position as you was to go for a light colour, as it reflects sunlight with the result that the inside doesn’t get so hot. I don’t know how accurate the advice, but I chose a “Tiffany” pale turquoise colour which was fab - and we named him “Mr Whippy”!

Thank you for this, that’s really helpful. What colour did you go for?

Thank you for this, much appreciated ? I presume lighter also show the inevitable scratches etc less as well?

A light blue or silver looks good. i was also advised to go light as it doesn’t show scratches as badly. I ended up with navy and silver which went against that for the navy but I liked the colour.

Yes, it was a really smart colour, and everyone knew it instantly as mine, as it was pretty unique colour at the time.

....sorry didn’t answer your question, but it didn’t show up scratches etc....

I went for amazon blue

Also considered some interesting shades of mocha & latte (i.e. cream! v smart with a black pod) ...

Fiat and Mini and Citroen have good solid colours, but in the end I found my favourite blue my chance in a car park :)

I love a gunmetal grey or silver - it goes with any colour accent that anyone has a preference for!
