Firstly, a big thankyou to the BEF and Baileys for a fantastic morning!

It was worth every penny of my entry money just to have the opportunity to introduce Pancake to the 'big wide world' at a venue that was so quiet and relaxed. Everyone was super friendly and helpful and I didn't feel out of place among all the studs, being a one-time breeder.

Right, onto the juicy details!

Pancake was a star, didn't put a foot wrong all day and acted as though she had been doing it since forever - she was better behaved than her mother!

Vetting was amazing, we came away with a double score of 9.5 which I was utterly thrilled about.
The assessment went well, the assessors felt that she was a little tight and lacking spring in the canter but was overall very 'harmonious and well balanced' (

) They also commented on her beautiful head and flowing topline, but all evaluators were of the opinion that she was lacking a little bone - which was fair enough as she is looking rather show ponyish!
Came away with a first premium and tears welling up in my eyes. I am just SO proud of Tilly for producing such a cracker and just so amazed at Pancake's attitude to life, she is just magical.
Overall very pleased to know that I'm not completely biased when it comes to Pancake, and that other, more knowledgeable. people don't think she's hideous!

Photo overload to come later!!!

Well done, which one was your foal? We were in around 9 o' clock with ours. She behaved so well and got a 1st premium really pleased with her.

Thanks for all the lovely comments everyone, I really am just SO pleased with her. This breeding malarky is so addictive though, I just want to breed foal after foal and see how they all turn out now!

There are just SO many stallions out there that I would love to use.
Unfortunately Pancake will be my only foal for the forseeable future

But... what a foal to have!

I want to slow time down and really enjoy every moment with her, but at the same time I want to fast forward because I am so excited about what her future holds. Right, will stop gushing now!!!

Memo - We were in around 10.20ish, we were no. 28 if you want to consult your catalogue

FSH was there and had a foal in behind us, but there were so many of them wearing their Future Sport Horse coats that I was too intimidated to go up like a looney and ask which one of them ventures onto HHO!

I'm sure you are friendly, but there were so many of you that I didn't know where to start!!!
We were the ones waiting to go in ahead of your BIG hunter type mare who I was more than slightly drooling over while we were waiting

Fantastic, so pleased for you, and pics are lovely. What a little star Pancake is! Sounds like the Futurity experience has been great for many of us - as you say, everyone so helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere so relaxed. It means that the experience is the best possible for foals and handlers.

Well done Pancake!
