I've entered a ODE this weekend at Solihull RC, just wondered if anybody has been before and can give me a bit of info on the xc course etc, especially the water!

Yep, did one last year albeit eliminated at first XC jump due to 3 refusals but was allowed to continue.
Depends on weather as to how it is set out. If weather is ok, dressage is on grass in the fields left of the drive and SJ warm up is in the covered arena and course is in the outdoor. If not, dressage is set up in the outdoor arena with warm up in the covered and all SJ in the indoor which can make the course twisty and tight.
XC changes with each event, but is generally a nice flowing run. The bank is usually put in so make sure you've got your breaks for the turn and slope down.
The water is nice, usually a jump before and after it. Depends on the height your jumping as to if you are jumping in/out. The water is right by the outdoor arena though so you'll most likely go through it heading for home.

Yep used to fence judge there Never competed there so can't say as much as riderlizzie but its a really lovely place the organizers are always incredibly polite Would recommend it
