Hi, I wondered if anyone who is familiar with these saddles could explain the difference between the older SMART model (I think they made the last ones late 2010) and the newer SMART. I've been looking at them but was surprised when a friend said don't go for the older ones as they're not a universal fit. I thought the whole point of these pricey treeless was that they fit any horse. I'd be really grateful for your comments. Thanks.
