I'm sure the treeless saddle debate has been done to death on here but I wondered if anyone had any positive or negative feedback on Solution saddles. I'm having trouble finding a saddle to fit my mare as she is very broad with no withers and massive shoulders. My current saddle is out of action being re-flocked and I have been riding bareback for the last week, she feels so much happier and more forward going. Solution saddles are so expensive though not sure if they are worth it!

Ive recently had a solutions saddle "advisor" out to my horse and had GP solution saddle on loan for 2 weeks, literally just posted it back.
First thing i will say is customer "relations" is SHOCKING and i dont think the "advisors" are actual trained saddle fitters, just trained to "fit" the solution range.
The saddle itself is good quality, but IMO they do not fit every horse as stated, i certainly didnt feel at all comfy or secure in mine, neither did my horse. I also tried their new SMART saddle, which i must say was pretty lush and looked just like a treed saddle, very nice quality leatherwork.
Unfortunately mine was bumped up with so much padding / shimming to give its "fit" that i felt like i was sitting on a booster seat rather than a saddle, let alone my horse (and my horse isnt even high-withered).
The girth was winched up so tight i doubt my horse could even breathe, I couldnt even undo it when it came to swapping saddles! I was not comfortable with this, neither was horse who hated it. He actually started humping his back in the SMART saddles, hated them and would not canter in them. He was better in the old style solutions, no humping but my God i was not happy with the tightness of the girth neither did i feel at all secure (and i had been riding him bareback for the previous 2 weeks as we have no saddle atm and felt more secure with NO saddle than with one of these) the GP was the best of the bunch (i tried them all except the jump version).
Took the GP on a 2 week trial and i got it out of the box twice then gave up, i hated it, and didnt like the idea that shimming will make it fit, shimming can in theory make any wide saddle "fit", so my answer to you is, no, i dont think they are worth the money but its always personal choice when it comes to saddles so if yr itching to try one i would say do. (I know im like this i like to make up my own mind whatever anyone says! :D womans perogative haha).
It wasnt right for me and my horse. Good luck with finding a suitable saddle :)
