Blue has been ever so slightly unsound in trot 2 out of the last 5 times he has been exercised (i don't ride him only lead him out in hand)

After letting his legs cool down each time i have spent ages checking them carefully for any heat / bumps and can't find anything at all :(

I hosed his legs down anyway after each time

He is totally fine in walk, so tried giving him a few days off with staying in at night, but still he was still just the tiniest bit unsound in trot again this evening.

He wears tendon boots and overreach boots on the fronts - i had a very experienced lady on the yard check the way i put them on to make absolute sure they were perfect (i'm a bit of a panicker)

Any ideas ??

Thank you :)

O one more thing - he has two shoes changed every 6 weeks - but after a conversation with farrier and vet because he has been a tad slippery and slightly cracked back feet from increased exercise i have decided to go back to four shoes

Does anyone have any other ideas tho please?

xx

You need a lameness work up to find out the cause of the problem. There is always the problem that if you ride/turnout a horse with a lameness issue it could develop into a huge problem, if it is a tendon/ligament issue.

I'd bite the bullet (painful as this is) and call out the vet. If you are insured it won't be too hard on your pocket.

Good luck x
