Some good news following on from my recent post before Xmas when I was worried that our pony who injured a check ligament in spring 06 and had a foal in spring 07 might be lame again. I'm guessing that the ever, ever so slight lameness must have been a bruise or something trivial as she's been sound since then.
Yesterday she went to her first show in almost 2 years, straight back to BSJA, and was 2nd in a 138 class with a double clear. She was calm warming up, did her job (she'd have won by 3-4 secs if son hadn't gone round the gassworks in the jump off to protect her), stood sensibly in the line up then shot off for a charge in the lap of honour like she'd never been away! And, today she is sound with no heat or swelling.
So, this post is to say that if you are faced with a long term injury there is hope.
