I don't post a lot about my horses on here but I'm having an eventful few days so someone might find it interesting. :p

Miyaz, my arab, is going back to horsepital. :( He had a keratoma removed on 6th February and while his foot has looked good all along since the op, he still relieves weight from it whenever he rests his diagonal hind leg. He's not lame and he was allowed out just over a week ago but he's coming in with a pulse to his bad foot. Basically I'm not happy with it, so contacted the vet who did his op and he wants a look. I have a feeling of impending doom about the whole thing.

My work's last horse is sold, to a nice home and she's off next week, so I can't call myself a groom anymore. :( I still have a job mainly because I'm married to my boss's driver :D working in the gardens and doing up the yard, so that's not bad, but I'd rather be a groom with keep of a horse. :o

Flamey is on the move. :) :) She's been a companion to work's horse and was facing homelessness when work's goes and I was preparing myself to pts rather than put her in a busy yard with expensive livery at age thirty-two, but she's landed on her feet again with a place at a private yard as a companion with comparatively cheap livery, virtually on my way to where I keep Miyaz. How often do things like that come up??? :D

My lorry's being plated in the next fortnight but I think that should be OK. That's it, so not really that interesting, but it is to me as my life has been very much the same old, same old for nearly nine years.

Anybody else having a bit of a change?

That's really good news, pleased to hear she'll have a nice retirement.
Hope work and Miyaz's foot all works out ok :)

O bugger sorry to hear it's not going too well with the recovery. Hope it all goes well. Im be keeping fingers crossed for you both.

Don't panic yet. He might surprise you, maybe just become habit? Although I know how good your gut instinct is about things sometimes we can convince ourselves of things when stuff is going badly as we're stuck in everything is going wrong mode.

Really glad you've found lovely livery for your girly :) That is good news :D

Nothing new here, apart from my *touches everything wooden, and crosses fingers* sound horses!

I'm totally hoping I'm being a drama queen about Miyaz and all will be well, but he's not going going to make much of an endurance horse if he continues to load his right fore so much more than his left at rest, or any sort of horse tbh, that leg must be exhausted. I'll see what the vet says on Tuesday.

Thanks for the nice replies about my Flame, she's ace and I'm dreading the day the world doesn't have her in it, even though she's had a good innings, etc. She's my old pet pony and I love her.

JT, glad your two are OK again. :) Bojangles, how is Beau doing?

I know what you mean. I've been worrying over Beau foot as it got a silght infection vet wasnt worried at all and theres was me going mad over it. Beau is now doing well he allowed to be walked out for ten mintures and to eat as much as he wants so half a hour standing in the wind is enough for me!! Still no bute I think now I need to calm down as we are going in the right directions. The hole is being filled in slowing with grandaite sp ?? tissue. He is now on dry dressings. I have order a boot to use whist grazing in hand as its got wet when he spooked the other day.

Keeping everything crossed for you too.
