what is it with some people that they think that interfering with horses is a good idea? Some arse decided it was a great idea to take my gate of its hinges and let all my girls out of their field. Maybe i was lucky in some ways that this gate didint lead onto a road but unfortunately into another field with horses in. The girls were very upset, had been galloping around for a good long while so were all wet through by the time i got there. All got a wash down and check over - bad thing is the baby got beat up. so i got sunburnt what with running round collecting my horses up and getting them all sorted, cleaned up, rehanging the gate and then putting up electric fencing so they cant do it agan.
why the hell do people feel they need to interfere?

Good thing is - we spent all our weekend in the field tidying up after our new farmer friend cut and baled it. Well due to the way the land has been trashed with tractors coming in when the ground was wet he couldnt turn about 1/2 to 3/4acre so we set off tidying it up into long piles so we could get it cleared away easier. Well our nice farmer drove past and saw what we had done and has come in and baled it for us so that makes another 2 big bales

so thats 54 bales in total. so very happy with the farmer.

I would let the police know.

We had a spate of this and several houses were burgled with getaway routes across fields. We had just thought it was poachers/people lamping or just idiots as did the police until the burglaries occurred. You need to padlock both sides of the gate.

Just to be on the safe side.
