So today was SUNNY! Yes so so happy. It was a great opportunity to hire the outdoor school (we only have an indoor one rubbish for sunny days but great for winter) down the road and take dizzy for a new outing! We went with a couple of friends from the yard and the goal of our trip was to get my little one out and about somewhere new and just have some fun.

There is a very busy road on the hack down there which we have to go on for about 10mins and even though there was some nutty drivers around I am happy to say my girly was an absolute super star! Cool as a cucumber and seemed happy to be out and about again.

Got to the yard where the school was and completely different horse. She went stupidly tense started spinning and eyes were on stalks and if I am quite honest she was scary and I have never seen her like this before. So while the other two started schooling we just walked in hand around the school I didnt want to get back on until I had a less freaked out mare. After about 20mins and she had relaxed (slightly) I jumped back on and found myself sat on a coiled spring. It really didnt help that I was stupidly tense myself as I wasn't sure what she would do. But bless her heart apart from still being freaked out and eyeballing all the horses in the field around the school she listened. Apart from several nappy moments she really tried and we literally just walked around trying to get her to relax and stretch. We did a little trot which was more like a sprinting giraffe but towards the end she relaxed :)
My boyfriend had my big camera (which unfortunately during my little episode with dizzy I forgot to tell him how to use) and managed to get some lovely if over exposed shots :) These have shown me I really need to relax my upper body more and bring my shoulders back, I also need to stop sticking my bloody toes out and pick up the contact more in the right rein but continuing with weekly lessons should help iron that out oh and I need to smile haha and enjoy our progress rather than tensing up when she does.

On the way home I had my super star mare back who didn't even freak when some idiot pulled up beside us and screamed 'neigh' at the horses moron!
All in all very pleased and learned a lot!
Now pictures!

Thank you for reading I hope everyone else had a lovely weekend

Big pat for her, you don't half get some idiots about  Looks like you both took advantage of the sunny weather and enjoyed yourself.

A very sweet looking mare :)
