i went up to have a look at a 7mth old appy x last saturday we were the first people to ring and go and see it well we said to her we are not going to rush into anything and i need to go ask so advice of some people and see if i can sort my stable and fencing out to make it as foal friendly as possible aswell as seeing if i could arrage transport because the woman didnt want to transport her, but i would get back to her either way as we were very interested and if we decided to make an offer it would be a cash offer. she said she was in no hurry to sell her and if she didnt find the right home for her she would keep her.

Well i went to see my exboss (bred racehorses) and only managed to talk to my YO on saturday as he had been away on holiday but he was brilliant and said that he would get all the alterations done for us asap. plus a friend offered to drive her horsebox up with me to collect her.

SO my mum rang the woman last night (that was as soon as we could really) i wasnt there cause i had gone out for a mates b day anyway it turns out she has decided that she has under priced her and has put the price up another £350 and has a woman traveling 3and a half hours to come and see her bringing a horse box so my mum said well you contridicted yourself as you said you wanted to check where she was going and keep intouch to visit we had said if we decided to buy her she could come check out our place first to see where she would be going. She was a bit of an arsey person when we first rang her and when we went to see the pony tbh she gave me a head ache as she contridicted her self alot and was just a really horrid woman

not really any purpose to this post just so angry when people are like that

to be honest, if I was selling a horse and I hadn't heard for a week, then I would assume that the people were not interested. If you had left a deposit, then I would be a bit miffed, but you didn't, so the horse still belongs to the owner and it is up to them to decide how much they want and who to sell to.

Honestly, put yourself in her shoes and you would probably do the same thing.

FMM- I was going to say the same thing a week is a long time, had you spoken to the person selling in between to explain your difficulties you were having. If not then I would expect that she thought you were not interested.

yeah im not miffed about her deciding to sell to another person as its upto her who she sells to im miffed about the fact that she kept going on about how much this foal ment to her and how she wouldnt sell to just anyone and she wanted to see where it was going and she wanted to visit etc. when there are people coming 3 and a half hours with a box to view and take i proberbly didnt word my post right

like you said though she contradicted a lot so she was probably not really worried where the foal went, it sounds more like a money thing if the price has gone up

I bet there are loads od people who use that line, the person I bought off said the same"please keep in touch, email me let me know how he's coming on and will it be ok in a monthe time to visit him"- heard absolutely nothing from her, I'm not bothered , but why say it if you don't mean it.

I'm sure you will find something better soon and just looks at it - its just not meant to be.
