Had an absolutely beautiful morning's autumn hunting today. I was too lazy to get out of bed in time to get Ron there (and it blows his little brain to be standing in a field doing nothing with friends!) so I just took the camera as it takes much less getting ready!

Very nice photos!!! I actually find that some horses can be stronger cubbing as they getting back into the routine and it's alot more stop start and often by yourself, or other pep keep going. Spots started off in a 3 ring gag after my second hunt on her I changed it to an amercian gag and then she hunted in this all the time, had alot more control!! The horse I hunted last year was in a snaffle with one roller in the middle with a grackle all season, and Gracie as currently gone from a copper roller to a French link but with a grackle, before anyone thinks I choose a very strong bit all the time. Horse looks very happy, and good on the rider for going out hunting and having fun!

I'd much rather see the horse with a stronger bit and being well mannered and his rider able to ride with softer hands. And I'd agree that they're usually easier hunting than cubbing, far too much standing around!
Beautiful photos, can't wait to get out this season.

she's a very nervous rider, partially sighted and with only partial control over her left leg. She also has incredible balance and very light hands! and the horse is actually a saint!

i stand corrected i wasnt being negative i was just worried what was next lol glad your getting out cubbing !

that's understandable! she does get quite a few comments but is used to defending herself!
