Flint the JRT sadly on his last legs due to bowel cancer.

Flint is 11yrs we found out in Nov when he had x-rays due to problems with his back leg, vet couldn't find to much wrong with his leg so x-rayed his spine, which showed the problem with his bowel, poor soul is a bit of a mess, and has just stopped eating.
Thanks for the nice comments.
We plan to get another Spinone some time this year, would be unfair to Flint to get a pup now.
Kes is 13yr also has health problems.
Bea is 4yrs.
We also have two cats who get on with the dogs, but not each other!
 
Gorgeous dogs, love the spinone, they are fast becoming a favourite breed of mine! Loving looking collie too, isn't he a gorgeous colour. Sorry about Flint, I'm watching my old lady deteriorate at the moment and it's really hard, but she's not ready to go just yet!
 
Its very hard to watch them go down hill, we won't let Flint suffer, and unless his appetite picks up I'm afraid he really doesn't have a lot longer, he has lost so much weight.
We thought we would have lost Kes by now she had a very large tumour removed from her back leg 18 months ago and the vet thought she would get more quickly, touch wood she has been ok so far.
 
Lovely pics of fab dogs. It is hard when they get older and have health problems but the two oldies seem to have enjoyed long and happy lives.

I must admit I knew it was time to let my Lab go when he no longer wanted to eat - ever known a Labrador refuse a sausage!

My thoughts to you on your little JRT.
