Hi,

I posted on here a while ago about a how much for my spotty horse... I put him on horsequest and had alot of interest initially but now its died out..!

So two questions... firstly where would you go to advertise now? Bit reluctant to pay to put him back onto HQ!

Secondly... the reason that I'm selling him is that he had suspensory damage when I was trying to Novice BE him and although he would probably go back up to that level and stay sound I feel guilty about making him jump when it hurt so I'm looking for a riding club/hacking home for him really where I would lay my life on the line and say he would stay sound! Whenever I mention this though people get highly suspicious and disappear, despite being offered conversations with the vet, printouts of scans, vet reports, etc. He''s been back in riding club work now for a year so like I say am quite confident he would stay sound... How do I bring this up into the conversation? Because I know if that was all I was looking for it wouldn't bother me aslong as I could see the vet reports etc and trusted that the people were being honest (no suspicious stories etc.) which there aren't with him

So just a what would you say to them? Because I really need to find a nice home for him!

Having been in the position of being fobbed off by a seller who had a horse with a similar problem I think most people would be extremely wary and rightly so.

I'm not saying that you're dishonest but there are plenty of horses out there without problems and you're likely to struggle to find the right home for him.

It might be worth trying project horse / horsemart.

Good luck.

Thanks, don't get me wrong I can completely understand why people are wary... It's just so frustrating when in this case we're genuine! Was just after tips to try and get the point across of how sound he would stay!! Thank you
