i'm trawling the internet yet again, looking for a new pony. my mare is all but sold and i'm getting itchy feet now wanting a new one.

14 hh ish, between 8 and 12. tough type to live out and go barefoot. mainly for hacking out plus for my kids to learn on. must be kind and well mannered. £2000 limit.

i'm in west sussex. gonna be in new forest and winchester on monday viewing 2

Look on the NFED.co.uk they will have plenty of NF ponies in their 14.2 and under sale section: Ads 28359, 28338 (could negotiate down), 28337, 28333, 28206 -looks lovely.......

Ad: 28161 on the second page I know and can recommend.

hi, thanks, i'd looked at the cream mare ad, but thought 4 was a bit young for us. i'd only be able to ride up to 3 times a week, wudnt a 4 yr old need more than this?

It depends on the individual really - she was taught to jump by my jump instructor and appears very quiet and willing. I guess it depends on the quality of the work you are doing with her ie as long as you are keeping up the schooling on hacks and in the arena I can't see it would be too much of a problem. Just avoid the finer tbx ponies that may be a bit more fizzy. I'd say just go and try the ones you like the look of and discuss with the owner the amount of workload they are used to.
