I am such a horsey person, being brought up with ponies and horses all my life but never having the chance to compete properly. I am desperate to try it out during the summer as it will probably be my last chance for a while (going to uni in september).

So, I have constantly been on the lookout for a horse for loan over the summer, I found a gorgeous 15.2 ISH, enquired and was going down to see it after I had a break from exams! Now it's gone :( I ride at my friends yard twice a week, my uncle breeds ponies, not horses unfortunately! And I'm also getting involved in the RDA over summer. It's just my dream to be round horses all day everyday and I am just getting a bit demotivated as to what to do next :( I'm glued to loan websites!

Just looking for a bit of advice, would be appreciated! Sorry for the rant! :)
 
Don't give up, i spent 2 years looking for my perfect chap. I lost my confidence a several years ago on a 15.2 mare that napped terrible and she reared in front of a car. I managed to rehome her, (i did tell them about her napping) and decided to search again, it is hard and i was glued to different websites, but don't give up. There is the perfect one out there for everyone.
 
Your main problem is that most people will not want to loan their horse out just for the summer. They are often far more keen to loan them out for the winter!
 
I'm a very confident rider, I've been riding from I was no age! Am prepared for riding at competition level just need to get into it!! I have the ability and drive to go a long way, I just feel like I'm running out of time!
