As above really, I have tried all sorts but they get trashed within a few days :( Our field is really muddy so the mud gets into the Velcro and then they come undone, also I have found that the rubber ones tear easily...any recommendations are much appreciated.

Thanks in advance :)

I wouldve said eskadrons, my first pair ive had for years and still going even if a bit tatty now.Replaced them with another upgraded pair of new style eskadrons and the new ones are busted after about a month of daily turnout, old ones tatty they may be, but are still going strong.
If you find good ones please let me know

I like the Bridleway ones, i've had them about a year now and used them every day and they are just starting to go, they are rubber but they have a fleece top so they dont rub as i found that normal rubber ones do tend to rub, they are pretty cheap too

My boy lives in overreach boots and i have found the best thing is to use rubber ones, but, make sure you take them off and wash them each night - I then put them back on overnight in the stable to stop the velcro freezing also he is such a wally he can pull of a shoe whilst stabled!

I had my boy in big hoof pads for a few years so tried most brands in XL size. My thoughts:

- the pricey ones with 'knobles' that are supposed to stop the boot spinning round, don't work.

- Eskadron OR boots are lovely when new but the stitching goes quite quickly

- anything made of wetsuit type material is useless in wet and freezing conditions as your horse ends up with frozen solid boots

My recommendation would be rubber ones with velcro for turnout (which are at least cheap if the velcro goes) and change over to pricier wetsuit type ones in the stable to try and avoid rubbing.

And watch the bulbs of the heels - my blacksmith isn't keen on daily use of OR boots as he says it makes the bulbs (and coronet band) too sweaty and they can get a bit skanky.

I get whatever is cheap from Ebay, but it MUST have velcro. I HATE pull on boots. I've seen more than one horse tip itself up by standing on them, so I'd rather the boot came off if they are silly and stand on them.

I find the Roma double Velcro ones the best on my tb. They've lasted two winters already, without them he pulls a shoe daily. This is in very muddy clay mud! I remove them at night and give them a good wash. Very cheap to buy also, so easily replaceable!

Woof wear Kevlar ones are good for horses that trash normal over reach boots in field. They are good length and u can trim them if needed.

This ^, they're brilliant. I don't have much trouble with the velcro in the mud, just keep it firmly shut & occassionally give it a good scrub if it gets dirty.

the best boots by far! i work on a livery yard and almost all of our horses are in these boots for turnout and ridden work :) including my boy who kept pulling other boots off and trashing them! :)

Woof wear kevlar- one of my boys lives in them. He has 4 pairs on rotation! wash and dry then back on. He also wears them to event. he through a tantrum trod on himself -and the stud went through the over reach boot, tore a bit off bit not a scratch on him. they come up big though. Large in eskadron and rubber boots, medium in these

He was going through a rubber pair a week. and the no spin are useless on him- mainly as they spin and turn inside out!

Good old rubber ones for me too. He wears them 24/7 and touch wood not a problem. I buy XL so they touch the floor at the back.
I did try the material type ones with the nobble to keep them in place once and they rubbed badly :(
