Someone to compete my horse....help?

So I guess I am looking for shared experiences, recommendations or suggestions on my quandary.

I have a very sweet horse who (due to time and other commitments) I haven't done much competing with this year. Prior to this? He has done an awful lot with me.

I'm a little nervous to take him out in company now it has been a little while. I want to find someone I trust to help me get him back out competing.

I'm in West Sussex on the border with Surrey near to cranleigh. Any suggestions welcome!
