Anybody done it/been there? Really want to qualify to do the 2* at houghton next year... and was planning to qualify at aldon (but never got there due to poorly horse =[)... was just trying to make a rough plan as to whether to go there or try to go to fountainebleu to do the cci*???

Rough comparisons of the course compared to longleat/gatcombe 2*s if anybodys been to both?

Sorry... just getting excited about next season already

It's a lovely straightforward 2*, not much more technical than the int and the int is known for being straightforward. I've only jumped round the int but can confirm that rode beautifully!!

TOM!!! you aren't supposed to tell everyone about that little run-in! anyway its all clear now... glad to hear however lover that you managed to complete the simple task of filling up your car with petrol today! so nice that these garages now let such simple people attempt that isnt it?

well done... another piece of knowledge that is of much use to you! hows the AA meetings going? are they helping you get over your little problem??

(i don't think that we are using this forum very maturely!)

well, a piece of advice that my mother used to give me was behind the squash bottle is a very good place to use...

you know that you really should kick that bad habit of yours before next season... you MAY be able to remember your dressage test, and even when the judge comes out to correct you, not keep making the same mistake!!!

HA this is revenge for tagging me in that photo on facebook...

you promised never to mention that again. It wasn't my fault that the TEST IS INCORRECTLY WRITTEN and I couldn't understand the judge through her strong Scottish accent

Somerley 2* rode lovely when I did it and its not that much different to the int from what I remember. I did it a few years ago and thought it was a really nice and encouraging track. the showjumping is normally big there though and can get very boggy and cause alot of problems. the dressage is nice and secluded and flat. enjoy
