I have been out with Taunton Vale Foxhounds in the last few years but they have brought in 3 caps maximum after that you have to subscribe
So am wondering what other hunts there is in the Somerset/Devon area. If you could give me a rough idea on price etc that would be great :)

thanks :)

West Somerset Vale - £40 a day :) Think West Somerset same. QSH depends on time of season but pretty expensive whenever. Minehead Harriers always used to be about the same as the WSV but not been out with them for a while. Dulverton Farmers are cheaper I think - Ravenwood could tell you about all of the hunts around there. LEC could tell you about the Mendip and Weston and Banwell. Taunton Vale Harriers are probably close to you, historically cheaper than TV. Blackmore Vale not cheap but worth paying for a good hedge day. Cotley are a nice friendly lot ime, try VictoriaEDT, she's local to them :)

Dulverton Farmers...very welcoming,a good day out, usually with a small field. Can't tell you off the top of my head what the cap is, but not more than around £40, they will do quarter subscriptions etc to suit limited hunting.

Hunting is a little limited in there is no jumping...but stunning scenery and good company.

PM me if you want any more info...

Sorry to bring up a oldish post! West Somerset is a very calm hunt, mostly ladies and only jump one or two styles on their meets, so if you're used to hunting with Taunton Vale you might not enjoy it as much. Heard Cotley are rather good - don't know about Cap prices, sorry, only 14 so I get them cheaper :) x
