to all those members that have to drive to their beloved's: if you dont know already, set your mileometer tomorrow morning and clock it on arrival at yard and log it on here. if i had the time and inclination i would compile a poll - feel free to do so - eaglestone / elitemareslol let me know your results too!!! i mean to do this every day but always forget hence this is to be my elaborate reminder! im sure this has been done many times before but we get new members and we all move once in a while so.....

i could set my pedomiter as i only take a few steps and im in the yard !!

i would love to but.....................i fly off to the dominican for 3 weeks in the morning!! usually at home the yard is 4 miles away!! clocked the mileage before i moved there!!!

HiYa
Mine is about 3 miles ish ish ish ........but have dreamt/dreamed (sp is this the correct word!) that it would be just a walk out of the door to the boys for nearly 17years .... well one for 17years and the other for 7 years!
My goal for tomoz morning at 7 am... set the mileometer (sp again!) (so not as early as some!)

not a newbie?? indeed not but alas i fear more posts needed to change the title...does anyone know at what number of posts it changes?? hey put itv on, adverts at mo but wait a secondo and see what comes up, entertaining me thinks (george galloway trying to ride)

why dont we hijack the field at the back of my house? lets face it, if the travellers can pick and choose fields at their leisure, surely we can have that one? oh god im sure the "un pc" comment will spark more "hairy" moments on the forum.

This is the nearest my boy has got to your boy ... mines on top of yours and I must say he (mine) is looking remarkable shiny .... but alas it was last July 2006!
PS Yours is very smart looking!

Well when I get my new Free Frosties (am I allowed to say that?) cyclometer I will be able to tell you the distance of the more direct route on the bike.

I am about to collect my new co. car so it will be easy to count the miles as there will be so few on the clock! SMUG ME!

I know time wise it is 15 mins and burns 100 calories on bike and 5 mins and burns no calories in the car. I go at 40mph most of the way, unless I bump into the hunt or a deer (joking) so I guess I could work it out. Suffice to say it is not as far as my last yard and that is good enough for me when I have to go up twice a day. It is rug time for the TB and any minute now they will be coming in at night.

All Fat Bakers Make Cakes He Eats Kitkat, if that is what you are ona bout Eaglestone. I think I may have missed a PM.

I am not new either, just been lurking on the forum having been chastised once for daring to post my opinion!

I think that covers all the ramblings and the original post!

Yes I know what you mean about being chastised, thats why I tend to lurk in the background LOL! I want to put on one about carrots and carrot tops as well as spiders for Chaskit rugs, but I think I may be told that horses should not be given carrots (especially my old boy!) and that spiders went out with the Ark and I should be put in prison for using one!

Oooh...I've always been taught... 'All King Edwards Horses Carry Many Brave Fighters'

Yards are both about 7 miles away from home and 0.4 miles between the two

although we are moving soon so may have to move yards

No you're not as they are very old fanshioned now ...Spiders are the straps used to keep the rug in place. It clips to the front in between the legs and then up through a loop on the outside of the sides of the rug and round the back legs and clips up at the back! There you are magic! M has two...lucky boy! If you hold it up then its like an upside down Y so not a spider really!
See my siggie is coming along although a bit big will try another time!
