usually people are posting about feeds that are non heating.. but i need something to give fox a but more oomph, hes just so lazy these days!

people at the yard have suggested sugar or speedibeet, would anyone recommend it?

thanks guys

ive given my horse speedibeet in the past, didnt make a difference at all!

now give him spillers instant response energy mix and he is a different horse :) they also do a slow release one which is good too

Go old school and go for crushed oats.

Tried and tested formula - sugarbeet , chaff and oats - it will be like driving with the handbrake off

Lloyd.

If you're worried about him putting on weight or worried about him being too heated like start bucking etc I'd try naf ener-g supplement - worked wonders for my pony and now another horse on it on yard and worked wonders for him too!

what is it? is it a supplement or a feed?

Supplement. Cheaper than red cell but similar. i originally gave it to my mare years ago when I first got her as she came down with every sneeze/virus going and it was brilliant for her. It does seem to pack quite a punch so I would feed it carefully but it certainly works!

If he is needs to put weight on as well, then I would go for something such as a conditioning cube/mix. If he still needs extra sparkle, then add 1/2 scoop of rolled or crushed oats too. It could be that he is lacking 'oomph' because he is laking condition and that once his condition improves, so will his energy levels.

Allen & Page's Power & Performance!

Someone on here recommended it to me for one of the ponies who had become really sluggish, and wow - it's rocket fuel! It didn't go to her head too much but she was really firing on all cylinders. Really good stuff!!
