- WHY do people feel they need to criticise my riding behind my back?
- WHY do people feel the need to bitch about the amount of feed my horses get? (both a good weight if a little tubby)
- WHY do people moan about me yet use me like a *****ing doormat?
- WHY do people say my management is not good enough yet ask for my help?
- WHY do they bitch about how my horses ride?
- WHY do people discuss MY financial situation with others?

WHY are 99% of horse people so damn *****ing outright nasty b*stards

Answers on a postcard please

I have no idea. Nothing better to do? Don't give them the satisfaction of giving a sh** what they say.

POSTCARD. Because you are to damn nice and they see you as a walkover. You cann't change your nature as that is how you are made and very nice too. But I'd start saying NO!! to people, start thinking about yourself and get some earplugs and put them in when you get to yard.:D:D:D As what you don't hear you cann't say yay or nay to them.:D:D:D:D

Hey, sounds like you're having a rough time and maybe some nasty rumors have gotten back to you, that's always hurtful and even worse when you're being critisised for something you're really passionate about (your horses). I'm really sorry that happened to you, hang in there and stay with it- its not them you're doing it for.

And if you like, you can come to my yard- only my baby boy and his girlfriend, and absolutely no bitchiness since I'm just learning about horsing around in the UK :)

Unfortunately this sort of thing is rife in the horse world, always someone to be stirring and causing trouble for others in the background but rarely have the guts to say anything to your face!! I have generally found it is people who are totally inadequate, as both owners and riders, and so feel jealous of anyone who has either the animal or the ability that they want but don't have a hope in hell of ever having! They also tend to think they are very clever and will never get caught out, they are wrong there too because they can't play the nasty games very well either and it will always come back on them eventually!

Ignore and pity these petty people, don't get roped into their games, don't let them walk all over you. Enjoy your horses and let it all go over your head, at least if they are bitching about you they are leaving some other poor sod alone!!

sadly a lot of bitchiness in the horse world - hence why i lost my confidence to point would not ride in front of ppl till i had lessons of an amzing woman and entered my first show in 20yrs last yr (2nd and third in medium sized classes). But mmm jealousy is big part. I knew some one who would critercise every horse and rider at a show but never been in the ring herself. I now say up yours to bitchiness cause i know my horses are well loved and i enjoy them :)

It does my absolute nut in! The last few weeks I have just wanted to sell up and give up because I cannot cope with it anymore!

My horses are healthy and well looked after (evidently not to some peoples standards though) and they want for nothing.

Shame some people succeed in making others feel like absolute *****e :(

If you are on a yard and that is where these people are then move if it is making you unhappy, it just isn't worth the hassle nor being forced out of something you love by total *****. Having said that, I would stay just to pi** them off, out of spite, and know that I have forgotten more than they will ever know.
