We had a new farrier booked today and i've really been nervous

about it. We didn't know much about this farrier but we didn't have any other options so we had to book him and it turns out he is <font color="blue"> fantastic </font>

He was so good with maddie who was being really bad rearing and being a bampot in general

He was quite and just worked away at her feet, he kept speaking to her and reassuring her

He was really good and patient with willie aswell

A real turn up for the books this guy being so good and He was ON TIME

PMSL - at being "on time", I honestly had begun to believe that was impossible!!

It's great that you've found a farrier who took the time and was patient and reassured your horses!

I hate it when they just put nervousness down to naughtiness and shout at or even hit the horse. I once sacked a farrier who hit my normally impeccably behaved mare with a rasp on her hugging bone and she got quite a nasty cut! All she did was pull back once when he stretched her foot out to the tripod. Luckily my current farrier is a great perseverer and is great at soothing nervous horses, he's especially good with youngsters - his downfall is his timekeeping!! lol
