New eventing season kickoff at Twin Rivers: A warm-up in the Intermediate (3* will be this year's objective).
10th after dressage ( not Spikie's favorite...) but double clear XC + SJ with a 4th place to finish.

Spike is lovely & that hat silk is fantastic!!

That hat silk is one of the most durable items we ever bought: First and only one son has ever had since he started eventing back in his teens

Lovely sequence.

I know we complain in this country about the dressage arenas often being close to the cross country, but judging by that photo we should count ourselves lucky! The arenas look yards away from the fences. Mind you, I don't think many events here could compete with those mountains for a backdrop!

On behalf of son, thank you all for the lovely comments
smile.gif
He is a registered member on HHO but spends more time riding and doing clinics / coaching than posting... warned him I would post on here though

Re the closeness of dressage arenas to the XC: Not as close as it looks and from what I've seen, son's horses are the most laid back animals I've ever seen

Would def be a problem with most here in France too
