Hey everyone,

Im sorry for this post.
Im not sure how many of you remember my old loan mare Gypsy that was taken off me two months ago? They said they just want to loan her out when I offered to buy her?
Well she is now up for sale. £2700 .. Her advert says nothing about her having sweet itch either, it really upsets me. I offered to buy her and they said no as they just wanted to loan her out so because they had the power to take her back they did .. im not sure wether to prove a point that there the owners etc .. but if they wanted her back that much then why are they selling her now?

I really hope that she ends up in a really nice home where someone will look after her a lot better. I know it sounds bitchy, just everytime I see pictures of her getting her over massive jumps or her advert now on a facebook page etc. I just really hope that she goes to a nice home.

sorry to hear they took her off you when you offered to buy. Can you not buy her now they have decided to sell?

That must have been very tough for you when they took her back. Can you afford to buy her at the price they are looking for ono? If so, you should make an offer since you were willing to buy her 2 months ago anyway.
If you cared for her while she was on loan to you to their satisfaction, then selling to you should be a comfort to them as they know she'll be in good hands.
 
Well, they havnt owned her for 9years or something, they didnt buy her they got left with her as they were ment to be looking after her and the owner didnt come back, so she was with them for 5years then with me for 2. Then they took her back, they already have a loaner for her, a girl I know is loaning her and there selling her now, I offered to buy her in may and they took her back in june and 2months later there now selling her so shes going to ANOTHER home.

It just makes me really sad for a horse to be past around when she was so settled.
I can't put an offer on her as I no longer have the money as she is over priced. it takes a while to ride her round a sj course aswell. And she has sweet itch which is manageable but still.

Although, IMO, she is overpriced.

ok, just seen that you cant afford her.
Doubt she will sell at that price. Maybe if she is on the market a while, you could put a cheeky offer in.

Just think you have your mare now who you will have forever and enjoy her and after time you can move on. What her owners did was mean to you but that is what some people are like.
 
That is really harsh, no wonder you are upset.

I'm sure Gypsy will end up in a nice home. I think you should try not to think about it and concentrate on your stunning new horse. Your new mare is bigger and I think she is potentially the better horse for you, she is young and in a few years she will have the ability to take you further than Gypsy perhaps could have done.

Try not to be too upset, it must be very hard for you. I think her owners have been very silly but hey ho.

I think it just comes as a big shock, because as soon as I start getting better about Gypsy actully going, then I hear something else and now shes for sale. I just need to try get over it really.

On a plus side ive had a really good time lunging Maisie today she went very nicely for me so im hoping that I have a potential star lol :)
