Right, if any of you remember my dramas i've had with my 'psycho' horse you'll understand why i am so proud!!

In September, i let my friend borrow my new horse to team chase as hers had grass sickness. He'd only been brought back into work properly after 9 months off. I have only just found some video evidence!! x

My horse is Billy, a 17hh ISH with a 'challenging' behavioural issues which luckily we have just got through!! 5 people have given up on him in 5 years! :O(

On the video, if you skip to 2.42, you'll see the start of the team, Sheenagh on Coley, a chestnut, followed by Tanya on Claude (the grey) ...........a little while later lol at 2.57 is my billy!! It is at Atherstone team chase over the intermediate course. This is filmed over the last few lot of jumps (and the smaller ones compared to the ridiculous hedges!!) and as a 5 year old that hasnt done a lot i am so proud of him!! x he was a little cautious jumping around, which made him slow!! and as you'll see he sort of falls over jump 15 but he is so willing and trying!! x

For people not knowing Billy you probably think he looks rubbish and the worst team chaser ever but i really think hes done well compared to his 'ways' and its only now that we are really progressing!! x hes an intelligent horse, and needs to be worked lots to be kept thinking and learning but i really hope he has a successful life now! x

Bit of a pointless post but im really proud of him and wanted to share!! x

Bless. He looks like he's realy trying :) no wonder you are proud :)
It's not a pointless post at all. I posted awile ago about how proud I was at just being able to ride up the track without any napping from the horrid one and the other day I was proud that he only bit me twice while I was grooming him. :o (Sounds mad to be proud of those things but people who know the horrid ones story will understand. :p ) So you go ahead and be proud, you should be, you didn't give up on him like so many others did. Just look at what they are missing out on. :D Well done for all your work with him and good luck for the future. xx

Aww thanks x

Taking him hunting on Wednesday with a bit of luck that the grounds not too hard :O/ x

It is easy to be so proud of even the small steps when you're initially faced with such a massive challenge! x i hope he carries on being a good boy and keeps learning. I have decided that this is our year and he will do what he's told and we will achieve alot more!! x

It shows that you should never give up on a horse that you can see potential in!! x
