your navicular horses? Mine chipped his navicular bone last year, no one knows how although we think it may have happened whilst on box rest for a splint!!! Strange!! Is my horse the only one who has a chipped nav bone, iv never heard of it before, but anyway back on topic ... What activities do yous do with your navic horses eg xc, hacking, jumping etc I always constantly think oh poo the grounds to hard to do blah blah on and constantly find myself musing over weather i should continue to jump or just do flatwork!!! I worry alot

Never had one with personally myself, though have known ones which were retired form high level stuff [PSG etc] and downgraded to riding club type level and perfectly happy doing that for years

When it first happened we were only allowed to do flatwork on a soft surface (i said jezz that'll be hard cus the arenas at the yard are tripe, althought the outdoors good in the winter as its flooded so therefore soft lol) Then when he was back in work they said we could start jumping and hacking but only a small amount of trot on the road, so i dont trot on the road anymore. We sometimes go for a wee canter around a field which hasnt caused any issues and were going to jump in the field yesterday but changed my mind as it was quite hard and didnt want to make him lame for me wanting to jump. When it 1st happened i said he would never be jumped again then he jumped really well then when summer came started stopping and backing off so stopped for a while hen started jumping again then stopped! Then someone said on my post yd (sorry cant remember name ) that when hes landing on the dodge leg after the jump it actually puts more weight on the good leg which i didnt think of till then so now im thinking oh crikey what if i damage that one next
