Who's coming? I've already counted BBs (plus Suzy), Weezy, Lisseygan (plus student and/or OH?), and myself. As far as I can tell we're having catwalk/how much foundation can you wear competition (good, that will detract from my horses' performances) and that Suzy will be videoing everything even if sh's not aware of this yet! Anything else I should know? I think I will do the BN and Disco on both mine, W won't have jumped much before hand and I can't face having to be there from 9.30 until 6pm...

*runs off to find suitabley dangley earings and copious amounts of bleach. hair extensions maybe?*

Im going the night before I think, snoop can do the clear round, the following day he can just sit on the lorry - and keep winnie company!
 
I expect to see everyone with embroidered initails on their saddle cloths, team jackets and nice velvet accesories.
I may try and come up for a laugh

I will be there - complete with Boss's embroidered quarter sheet (OMG imagine the faces of me on unclipped horse with quarter sheet)

I have found some almost black foundation, I am having my hair trimmed so it can sail out of the back of my GPA, and my hair matches my Pikeur jacket trim so thats cool - will find some good diamonte HUGE diamonds to wear in my ears and am going to beg Mrs T to lend me her spurs

Add to that the fact we will prob not get over the first fence as I have a feeling Boss will have a TOTAL heart failure at the brightness of the arena and hey, we WILL be noticed

You see the thing about eventers at BSJA shows is that we all laugh at them as they insist on going around with no martingale and in snaffles - look there's another one getting headbutted and being carted off with. And the average eventer finds all the distances way too short.

It's fine you can all come, at least you're put the entries up and they will have to pay out more prize money...
 
Yes - but I ignored the eventing protocol and wore a myler combination bit, martingale, velvet saddlecloth and a sheepskin pad! Looking at your signature not too different to Moon - OMG I might be an eventer!!!! I've still got a yellow tag on my hat from 2003.
 
Hehe- you just described what I wear. The only difference is that I dont have italicised initials everywhere and an excess of bling.

Well I would be an eventer if I got round the XC without looking like a monkey sat on him.

I didn't wear my jumping jacket - didn't think BE was ready for burgundy - I wore a jacket I found in a tack room one of the liverys left behind - very stylish!

The only initials I've got are on the collar of one of my shirts - and they are now out of date
 
Oh I will look like a monkey - point and kick (mind I dont think I will get away with that at Novice - might actually have to RIDE!)

And no WAY will I wear my Pikeur - I have a very old black jacket that will suffice

Could be an interesting day.
I will be there. No student, she informed me last night that she is off to Aus on monday until new year (work) so I am going to have to jump that little chestnut for the owner (bummer).
As for turnout I am between camps at the moment. Snaffle, no martingale, too big plain black jacket but nice saddle cloth and sheepskin pad and a SJ type hat.
So where can I get my saddle cloth initialed (in gold obviously) before the 14th?
I will be jumping (well trying) the 1mtr and 1.10 open on both horses.
 
Im the one on the big heffer! who still looks like an eventer, but who has lost her yellow tag (from all the riding out in the rain) as it got wet and fell off lol

Also joined by my sidekick, she maybe small but shes got a serious BITE!! watch out, a little blonde bombshell will be there videoing everything lol
 
This all sounds very interesting! Can we please have full reports and videos on the forum?!

Tis gonna be tricky. The place is full of frustrated eventers (not that sort of frustration) so no help there.
The new looks will blend perfectly with all the other bling.
I will be easy to spot, just look for the skinny old geezer on a large chestnut that is busy demolishing jumps in the warm up.
Perhaps we need a secret sign like cross left rein over right and shake 3 times as we pass people. Wiggle of right boot to confirm.

They won't need red carnations.....they'll all be wearing dangly earrings and bling saddlecloths (they're eventers after all.....they just think we SJ'ers wear all that stuff all the time
