well today, i went on a hack with my mare, cassey, and she was going okay just a bit forward, and she irritated me a bit more over the hack, and as we were almost home, just in the stubble field, and she was worked up and i was irritated and just tipped me over the edge, and i did the worse thing ever to do with my mare, i told her off, badly.Shouted and kicked her and when you tell her off she doesnt panic she just fights back, why oh why i did it i dont know.
I ended up getting off her and sat there really stressed out, i looked in her eyes and then knew she had lost the trust in me that took so long to get.
She wouldnt let me get back on then, she was too upset, too worked up and didnt trust me anymore. I decided not to wind eachother up and walked her round on foot to calm me and her down.
She eventually let me back on, but our trust was shattered.

I really dont know why i lost it with her, but it was the most stupidest thing to do, as a lot of you with mares would know, when a nervous mare doesnt want to do something you dont make them do it, you compromise and eventually they will trust you enough to do it.
Luckily she got over it quickly, and really started to listen to me like normal but on the way home was slightly panicky.
I really wish today hadnt happened but i learnt a lesson and will never do it again.
I gave her a bath and a nice groom with a big feed, and turned her out and she was sooo good otherwise.
bit of a pointless post, just very disappointed in myself and didnt know who to talk to.
thanks for reading
