Someone has just offered us £10k for Blue!!

He's almost 7yo 16hh BSJA registered. Has pretty even colouring so could probably do showing....

Well bought him at market 4 years ago for £950 so he was a baby then!!!

Tempted as he's not been being a very well behaved boy past couple of weeks but not going to take the offer no!
 
someone I know has racehorses
he was offered a lot of money for one of them and talked about it with a friend

he loves his horses like we do our riding horses - and they all stay with him when retired so not a 'flog 'em when they're useless' type

sorry but 10k is a lot of money - take it (unless of course you can afford not to)

your horse could go permanently lame tomorrow, be hit by a truck, or decide that he's going to have a twisted gut

no - they aren't about money BUT your finances define how well you can care for the animals you are responsible for

take the money and then use it to give another horse like him - in need of a good caring home a chance instead of ending up on a French or Belgian dinner plate

and put the remainder of the money in the bank for a rainy day or for your pension - we all get older day by day and money doesn't grow on trees....

TBH if it was me, I'd sell. You could do alot with 10k, some new stables, an acre of land...

I may be wrong but I don't think he could do showing that well as he hasnt defined blocks of colour... he has 'bleeding' in his coat, which i have been led to believe isnt correct in showing. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
 
I would consider selling if the home was appropriate. But only if I though they were going to be good owners (I know that you can never be sure). Having said that if anyone offered me 10K for Mick I would fall over in shock.....
