Hi all

What a wet wet wet day but I feel sunny

Went to Sands Farm today and firstly saw lots of old friends so immediately felt much better about the soggy day

Saf was on her best behaviour and jumped a double clear to be just out of the rossettes in the 1.05 and then a bit of a wait to the New.

Went in and jumped another clear to get us into the jump off but luckily not too long to hang around, was not sure about going in jumping 1.20 cold so to speak but she was so good and jumped another clear to put us 3rd

Wow. That's brilliant, especially the NC jump off. I'm sure it would have been a lot easier if the JO was straight after the first round (two phase?).
1.20 sounds v scary to me, esp with all the spreads and rel distances.

It wasn't all her, you also done a super job! It was a V twisty course, with Saf eyeing up all the fences!

She was fantastic though, very chilled (in a Saf way...) and listening to her mummy all the way around!

That's 2 rosettes this week!

Seemed to be early on, heard a lot say they have not seen it that busy in years? and a lot scratched rather than wait around. Really surprised considering how much it rained

Yes they did, in the BN and Disc had to go HC but did two fantastic rounds she was beaming, just what she needed to get her confidence back rather proud of her too

Well Im undecided also lol
I think i may do a couple of spring events on winston then call it a day and go show jumping the rest of the season on him now hes reg with BSJA.
Snoopy is a dude, albeit sharp at times and too bloody bright/quick thinking for his own good! he has a super brain and a jump to die for but just got to get him to listen to me a bit more as we're at the teenage I KNOW BEST going into a fence stage lol
He is on flat work duty atm and is leaning all the time i love him because you only have to teach him something once = but once he starts jumping hes off in his own little world of LET ME AT THEM lol
Lorry is dead atm so once thats back up and running i have a clinic planned on the 20th and some serious jump training is planned.
I hope to pop him into a few intros at the start of the season and go from there, will contest a few BYEH classes if i can and do the PAVO 5 year old thing. Will probably stop come june and concentrate on SJing him again although.....
Dad reminded me about the little matter of selling him in the spring again - haha yeah right!
 
NO NO V there is no way you can sell him, I'm sure dad will forget

he sounds a dude with a really good frame of mind, you have to do the BYEH and PAVO, I missed out on that as was new to eventing and did not know what it was

I shall be ringing lorry fixit person in teh mornign as he was meant to come and fit new clutch in last Wednesday!
Well, tbh I cant see how dad can inforce me selling him seeing as i actually own the horse!
However, i got the info through about the European eventing champs today which will cost me around £1k - looks a fab trip and the only way i can afford it is to sell a horse! and winston is going NO WHERE!!
Im off to finish watching the video of Milton the Millionaire! perhaps i will get some inspiration - im gonna show snoopy the vid tomorrow!

OH offered me the chance to go SJ at Sands today...but I saw sense (for once) and declined lol!

I'm also having a "shall I event or SJ" moment. I'm going to do PN at Tweseldown and if it goes well I'll carry on and if it goes wrong, it was not meant to be!
