I went round the tracks to my yard this morning firstly my hubby walked alongside me round it then I decided to bite the bullet and go for it on my own... (this is a massive milestone) for me anyway as I am still rebuilding my confidence and what a horse to do it with... he was just incredible so I am just so chuffed with myself that I actually went round on my OWN.

We met up with another livery riding the opposite way, and couple of horse's being turned out that were playing up and one broke free from his owner so I stood Toby still whilst they caught him and walked him to his field where he turned himself inside and out and like an absolute gent Toby stood there looking on as if to say...'what are you doing?' he just wasn't bothered at all by anything.

I even had a couple of trots whilst we were going past a tractor that was topping a field adjacent to the track... not a batter of anything from him he looked but that was about it.
I was on the other hand trying to stay calm for my own sake and knowing that he was not going to hurt me or put me in a situation...

I really can't tell you all how happy I am with myself for doing this, this morning I really feel like I achieved the biggest hurdle of my life.
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D:D

Next will be to go properly out on my own, once I know a couple of the routes. lol

Chicken nuggets and tom sauce for you all.... for reading my jibberishness.

I have put a thread up in PG from today too...as I also gave him a lovely bath afterwards ha ha

Ahhh, you sound elated!!! Maybear has issues with buses and tractors which we're overcoming, everytime we pass one sensibley, I feel like cracking open the champers!

Thanks everyone I am still up in the clouds right now that I managed to do it... it's taken all of 3 weeks that I have had him to do it next is going out of the yard environment on our own I know he will be good as gold.

Then we might tackle a bit of jumping with him, keep things mixed up for us both.

Just feels great when you start to get your confidence back again!
This horse has just been the best thing to happen in a VERY long while to me.
